Recipe of the Week - Meat Turnovers

    MEAT TURNOVERS
1 8-oz. package of crescent rolls
1 egg

Ham Filling:
1 c. ground cooked ham
1/4 c. sweet pickle relish
1/3 c. mayonnaise
1 tbs. milk
1 tsp. horseradish
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire

Chicken Filling:
1 1/2 c. chopped cooked chicken
1/4 c. sour cream
1/4 c. mayonnaise
3 tsp. chopped pimento
1/2 tsp. salt

Tuna Filling:
1 (7 oz.) can white tuna flaked
1/2 c. shredded cheddar
1/4 c. chopped celery
1 tbs. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. mayonnaise

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  Separate dough into triangles and place for triangles on greased cookie sheet.  Mound and spread filling about 1/4" from edges of triangles.  Top with remaining 4 triangles.  Beat egg with 1 tbs. water; use the moisten edges of triangles; pinch edges together.  Brush with egg wash.  Bake 20 to 25 minutes until brown.

Be creative with the fillings...perhaps browned ground beef or sausage with peppers, onions, and pasta/pizza sauce, etc.  Serve for lunch or dinner with a hearty soup and salad.
