Thankful Thursdays

The unthankful heart... discovers no mercies; but let the thankful heart sweep through the day and, as the magnet finds the iron, so it will find, in every hour, some heavenly blessings! ~Henry Ward Beecher

I AM THANKFUL FOR:

31.  Plenteous summer vegetables...fresh tomatoes, corn on the cob, yellow and green squash, eggplant, red peppers and cucumbers, and the sweetness of summer fruits...peaches, nectarines, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, cherries, grapes, mangoes, and papaya.   So colorful and so tasty.  Yumm!  We do have an abundance of good and healthful choices.
32.  A wonderfully warm cup of coffee in the morning and a refreshing glass of iced green tea in the afternoon.
33.  Our small yet comfortable home where every room is a "living" room.
34.  Encouraging people with well-timed words. Words can encourage, discourage, or do nothing.  Shallow words do little, death words discourage, and life words encourage.  I am so thankful for those who  have spoken sincerely with words that have had a positive impact on my life.  I want to strive to be more like them...I'm learning!
35.  Good doctors who are truly care givers who listen to you as a patient and allow you to participate and take a proactive role in caring for your health...ones who value your time as much as they value their own time.  I am thankful that I do have great, caring doctors.
