My memory verse for this week:
"O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him"
My daughter is a personal trainer and she knows what it takes to build muscle. You develop strong muscles by working them hard with resistance training. Resistance training is any exercise that causes the muscles to contract against an external resistance with the expectation of increases in strength, tone, mass, and/or endurance. The external resistance can be dumbbells, rubber exercise tubing, your own body weight, bricks, bottles of water, or any other object that causes the muscles to contract.
Our faith develops in the same manner. Tough situations (pressure from the outside) help us to build strong faith "muscles." By trusting God through tough times and seeing Him work, we are able to trust Him more. Tough times are just opportunities to "Trust Him More." God allows us to go through periods of training that challenge our faith. We soon learn that God can take care of our needs no matter what the circumstances are. He does so increment by increment, not all at once. He gives us our daily bread as we need as we depend on Him on a day-by-day basis. Our faith grows stronger as we experience God's power and care.
Is there a tough situation in your life right now? Will you allow Him to help you in building strong spiritual muscles by trusting Him for your situation? Trust Him to do what is right and to meet your needs.
"God will make a way where there seems to be no way,
He works in ways we cannot see,
He will make a way, He will make a way."
Have a Blessed Day,
